Fix NisSrv.exe High cpu/memory usage in Windows 10 Fall creator update

I have upgraded my Surface Pro 4 tablet to Windows 10 Fall creators update 1709 build. After I use the Edge browser to view webpage and open Email app, the system becomes slowly and sometime the UI is almost fully unresponsible. Within the Task Manager, I notice that the NisSrv.exe process/service takes up to 2Gb of a commit memory and eat with about 250 kb per second. To restore that normally, I have to make a reboot to get rid of this behavior but it will appear hours later. Is it a vrus? How can I resolve the problem? Continue reading

Windows Defender Realtime protection couldn’t be turned on after Windows 10 Creator Update

My Surface Pro 3 hasn’t installed any third-party antivirus in Windows 10 so I use the Windows Defender for protection. After the tablet is upgraded to Creator Update, I let it run a full scan overnight. Today the system becomes was unresponsive and I have to hard power it off completely and then power it up again. However, I notice that the Real-time protection switch is set to turn off in Windows Defender Security Center setting with the error “Real-time protection couldn’t be turned on. Windows Defender cloud based protection greyed out in Windows 10 Creator Update

My Surface Pro 4 tablet has been upgraded to Windows 10 Creator Update successfully. Last night I executed an infected exe file stupidly and that make my tablet acting up to pop up dialog and also disable Windows Defender. Then I get Malwarebytes to clean it up completely and re-enable WD in group policy. However, I open the Settings app and go to Updates & security > Windows Defender menu, it shows “some settings are managed by your organization” and the Cloud Protection and Automatic Sample submission are greyed out and set to OFF, while I am able to turn on/off the Real-time protection. Remove Windows Defender yellow triangle in Windows 10 Creators Update

I have used a ethernet cable connected to Internet, so I disable the WiFi driver on my Windows 10 computer after install the Creator Update. Now the Windows Defender system tray icon displays a yellow warning triangle with an exclamation mark. I open the Device perfomance & health in Security Center and it recommends me to turn on my WiFi Realtek card. Is it a bug or how can I get back the green checkmark icon in the taskbar?
