Cannot adjust sound/volume level in taskbar on Windows 10 1709 update

My Surface Pro 3 tablet has installed the Windows 10 update February 2018. I listen to music via built-in speakers and the sound is very loud for me, so I go to adjust it. I hover over volume icon on task bar to get the current volume level. However, when I use bluetooth mouse left click or right click on it, the volume control mixer launcher doesn’t pop up and the system freezes for seconds. Volume system icon greyed out in Windows 8.1 Control Panel

Everything worked fine since I installed the latest major update on my Windows 8.1 computer. The audio functioned correctly but the speaker icon has disappeared in taskbar. When I accessed notification Area Icons in Control Panel and tried to toggle it to show up as active, I got the “This notification icon is not currently active” error message. Disable High volume can cause hearing loss in Windows 8.1

I have used a Samsung NP3530EC computer with Realtek High Definition Audio and setup the system volume at 80%. Now I am encountering the volume problem after upgrade to Windows 8.1 from 8. When I plugged into the external speakers through the aux port, the volume becomes lower automatically and is limited to about 30%. It is very annoying for me. Cannot extend volume in Windows 8 Disk Manager

I open “Disk Management” on my computer running Windows 8 Pro, 32-bit. When I right-clicking my partition (C:) with a few free space to make the disk drive bigger, I get a “greyed out” Extend Volume option from the content menu. The unallocated space with 500MB is on the Disk 0. Should I delete my data in the second volume? Continue reading
