Headphones 7.1 spatial sound not working in Windows 10 Fall creator update

Windows 10 Fall creator update comes with the Windows Sonic virtual surround sound feature. I have upgraded my Surface Pro 4 tablet to the latest version. Then I open Volume Mixer and check the Turn on virtual 7.1 option. However, it doesn’t deliver an enhanced listening experience on my headphones and just is still the same from speakers. I had installed the latest audio driver version and setup audio hardware correctly in the previous Windows 10 CU version without any issues. However, after I upgrade my Surface Pro 4 to the Fall creators update, the bulit-in speakers keep popping at random intervals. High definition audio headset not working After Windows 10 Creators update

Windows 10 played any sound with music and movie on my tablet’s built-in speakers and my headset well. After I receive the Creators update and install it, the speakers are set to default and I am unable to switch it. The troubleshooter reports that my 3.5mm jack headset is on unplugged status while the IDT High definition audio codec is not working.
