Windows 10 USB tethering not working with Android phones

I could get my Galaxy S6′s internet connection by USB tethering with my Windows 8 computer, but it is not working well on my Surface Pro 4 running Windows 10 Pro. The USB tethering feature has been turned on in the phone’s Setting. I access the device status and it shows “Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device not connected: (Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)” message. Re-connecting the device doesn’t take effects. However, sometime it tethers and the connection becomes slow and laggy, even unusable. How can fix the issues? Continue reading

File lost when transfer file from Android phone to Windows 10 by MTP

To move your taken videos and photos from your Android phone or tablet, simply attach your smartphone to a PC by a USB cable and then open the File Explorer to copy, move, drag, drop them. The method works fine in Windows 7 or 8.1, but runs into the file lost problem in Windows 10. Fix USB MTP driver not working in Windows 10

When I connected my Lenovo K3 Note phone which is running Android 5.0.2 to my Surface Pro 3 tablet via USB, the Windows 10 didn’t recognize it as an Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) device to mount in File Explorer. It just failed to install the drivers through windows update and showed the error “Microsoft – Other hardware – MTP Device – Error 0x800f0217.” message. I changed other ports and restart the system but nothing happened. The troubleshooter reported Unknown device doesn’t have a driver. How can I resolve the problem? Continue reading

BlueStacks not working/opened in Windows 10 anniversary update

I had installed the BlueStacks 2 emulator on my Surface Pro 4, so I was able to play and stream many Android games and apps. However, after applied Windows 10 Anniversary update, I tried to run the virtual machines and it was not working at all. The app stucked on initializing and then crashed, even sometimes it won’t open or got a blue screen of death. I disablied Windows Defender and rebooted and still face the same problem.
