Fix Chrome hangs and freeze Windows 10 after 1803 update

My Surface Pro 3 has been already installed the Windows 10 Pro version 1803, and run into multiple problem. When I open a new tab in the Google Chrome browser, like Watching Youtube, it just hangs and freeze the system. The video becomes not responding. I press ALT+TAB keys or move the mouse cursor and nothing happens. I notice that some keyboard commands works while could not get rid of that completely. I have to do a cool shutdown and press the power button to use the device. Any way to resolve it?

Launching the Chrome browser along with several other apps will cause the Windows 10 system freezing, even update BIOS and Video Drivers. I say “Hey Cortana” and also face the same thing. This is a bug and Microsoft is aware of the issue and working on a fix.

How to fix Chrome andCortana app freeze the Windows 10 after April 2018 Update
* First press Win + L from your keyboard to lock the screen. You can also press CTRL+ALT+DEL keys and select Lock the computer option.
* The next step is to wait for the screen to time out.
* When you are on the welcome screen, log in your account back to your desktop and everything are fine.
* If you are using a Windows 10 tablet without any keyboard connected, press both the volume-up and volume-down buttons at the side together. Do it for three times within two seconds. You should hear a short beep and get blink or dim screen. If Windows 10 refresh the screen successfully, the issue is fixed.
For laptop users, another way is to close and open the laptop lid. However, it may lose your current working tasks.
