A referral was returned from the server cannot install Windows 10 app

I have downloaded a new version of program that I use with the license on my Surface Pro 4 tablet. When I double click on its exe file to install the app or try to launch the magnifier tool, it pops up the error saying “A referral was returned from the server”. Turning off UAC prompt doesn’t take any effect and it seems that the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation. Continue reading

Fix Show app notifications option greyed out in Windows 10 settings

The Cortana gets SMS messages from your smartphone in Windows 10 anniversary update and allows users to reply to those messages with Cortana. The new feature is working well on my computer clean install, but I could not get the messages and the action center never show the app notifications from the desktop after upgraded my Surface Pro 4 tablet. Add to my OneDrive option missing in OneDrive Cannot download shared Folder

I have installed OneDrive for business with Office 365 in Windows 10 on my Surface Pro 4 tablet. Others has sent me the link of the shared files/folders via email but the “Add to my OneDrive” option is missing with multiple shared folders on the web, no matter using Edge, IE or Chrome browser.
