Keep Windows 8.1 system on while turn off screen

I always use my Surface pro 3 running Windows 8.1 to download large files like android system updates for my phone through WiFi network, or listen to music by Spotify while I walk to work, so I would like to keep the tablet on but turn off screen at the same time.
