Fix Windows 8.1 bluetooth not working issues

I have upgraded my ultrabook to the Windows 8.1 Preview but get a bluetooth problem. My Bluetooth mouse and keyboard were already paired in Windows 8, but they works for awhile and disconnects and then keeps searching. Apparently the system can’t find any new device. Now the Bluetooth devices frequently disconnect and show “The btvstack could not be started” error message.

There are still some bugs in the new OS. If the bluetooth is not working in Windows 8.1, try the following tips to resolve the problem:
* Run the Bluetooth service supports to discovery and associate remote Bluetooth devices.
Press Win + R keys, type services.msc and click OK.
Locate “Bluetooth Support Service“, double click on it
From General tab, change the Startup type to AUTOMATIC.
From Log On tab, check “This account” radio button, input your account name or pick it from the search menu, then remove both the hidden password.
Restart your PC.
* Reinstall the driver.
Go to your manufacturer’s site and download the related Bluetooth adapter drivers.
If it is not compatible with Windows 8.1, you need to type regedit in start screen and open it, navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/CurrentVersion
and change the value from 6.3 to 6.2.
