I have upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 public preview on my computer. The new OS comes with many new features, such as bring back the Start button. It is not Windows 7-style Start menu, but you could use it to disable hot corners, and shutdown or restart your PC or tablet. However, I hate the start button and feel it is useless. Is there an option to disable or get rid of it?
Many people are wondering how to hide the Start Button on the Desktop. It hass been confirmed that users are not allowed to disable the Start Button in Windows 8.1 preview. Instead it has several customization options for tweaking. Smiply right-clicking the Start button to pops up a quick-access menu for Power options, Event Viewer, System, Device Manager, Control Panel, Run and others.
That’s just great. Microsoft have to clutter it up again. Having the option to hide it would be a important addition. Hope the final version add all necessary things.Advertisement
