How to setup Gmail in Outlook 2013

Gmail offer the best way to manage your mails. You might want to sync your Gmail messages and store them locally on computer using outlook. Here are the tips to configure Gmail account in Outlook 2013 by POP3.

* First enable POP on your Gmail Account.
Click on the small gear-shaped icon at top right corner of your screen, select Setting from the menu.

In Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, go to POP download section, check “Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on” box.

* Set up Gmail using POP3 protocol
Run Microsoft office Outlook 2013, click File at the top > “+Add Account” button under Account Information.
Select “Manually configure server settings” > next > Internet Email > next > Enter your email address and server imformation:
Account type: POP3
Incoming mail server: pop.gmail.com
Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com

Clcik “More Settings“, go to Outgoing server tab, check My Outgoing server requires authentication to enable it, and select Use same settings as my incoming mail server option.
Go to Advanced tab, input 995 for the incoming mail server(pop3), check “This server requires an encrypted connection“. Input 465 for the Outgoing mail server (SMTP), and select SSL for the type of encrypted connection. Then OK.

To fetch your emails from Gmail servers, go to Send/Receive tab in Outlook 2013, and click on Send/Receive all Folders button.
