Windows 8 Snipping Tool capture screenshots in Surface Pro

Snipping Tool in Windows 8 help you take screenshots in your Surface Pro. You can access the Snipping Tool shortcut in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories and SnippingTool.exe in the System32 folder.

* While on the Start Screen, press and hold or right-click on empty area and select “All apps” in bottom bar. Right click on Snipping Tool and select “Pin to Start” to get it as a Tile on start screen.
* If you have type/touch cover or keyboard, create a hotkey for it. Right-click on SnippingTool.exe > select Properties > Shortcut tab, and set a hotkey in Shortcut key text box.
* The tool offers these types of screenshots:
Rectangular Snip: drag cursor around an object
Window Snip: Select which window you want to
Free-form Snip: Irregular part of the screen
Full-screen snip: Entire screen
If you want to capture the right-click context menu, run Snipping Tool > Click Esc > right-click, and then press Ctrl+PrntScr.
