Does Surface RT/Pro support Wi-Fi 5GHz bandwidth

I am using a Anker Uspeed Dual-Band (2.4GHz & 5GHz) Wireless-N Router. It provides maximum speed about 300Mbps and also supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n. Now I want to buy a Surface pro windows 8 tablet to school. Does the Surface Pro Windows 8 or Surface RT support the 5GHz bandwidth for Wi-Fi network?

5GHz Wi-Fi Wireless Computer Hardware is better than 2.4 GHz. According to microsoft, the official specs of Surface is Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy technology. 802.11a is a 5GHz range standard.

It is working fine for me while connected surface to 5Ghz at 5.280Ghz. If using channel 56 is failed, change it to channel 48 shoud fix the issues.
